Easy to Make Salt Scrub
Make this Luxurious Salt Scrub for You and Your Guests.
I love-love-love, making salt scrubs! If I could express that in emoji's, I probably would! About a year ago, I decided that I wanted to add a touch of luxury in our Airbnb guest bathroom. I wanted to offer a little extra something that would help guests feel pampered in a way that they might not get at home. Is there anyone out there that doesn’t feel like smelling good and feeling soft? And if there is - well then -more for me.
From that inspiration, I decided to make salt scrubs for our Airbnb. Although, I primarily offer three different types of scrubs in our private suite, my personal favorite is a Rosemary Mint Scrub. It is refreshing and invigorating. What’s more, I love going out into our yard to snip fresh rosemary to mix into each batch. I just get giddy thinking about the crisp clean scent of the fresh rosemary coming together with the essential oils in the recipe. It' is time that someone develops smell-o-vision!
Rosemary-Mint Salt Scrub:
Ingredients:
2 cups Epsom Salts
1 Tablespoon Coconut Oil
7-10 drops of Mint essential oil
7-10 drops of Rosemary essential oil
1/2 teaspoon Fresh Rosemary, minced
Directions to Make:
Place all ingredients into a metal mixing bowl and mix together using your hands. Once thoroughly mixed, rinse your hands and package your scrubs. The recipe may be adjusted based on your scent preferences.
Directions for Use:
Slightly dampen hands. Place a small scoop of scrub in the palm of your hand and vigorously rub your hands together. Rinse and pat dry. Scrub may be used on hands and body.
Stylish Packaging:
Presenting your scrub with stylish packaging can transform your simple craft project into a lovely gift! I like using wide mouth 1/2 pint mason jars topped with a custom sticker. You can make a sticker using Avery brand labels or design one on Vistaprint.com like I do. In addition, you may want to add a small wooden scoop made just for the purpose of scooping and portioning bath products for generally use. I purchase my scoops from Amazon.
Luxurious, yet fun and easy to make. Your hands will love you for it!
